Dean Stenport meets with Franklin alumni from across the U.S.

Franklin College Dean Anna Stenport has been meeting with alumni and friends of the college at Meet-and-Mingle events designed to provide our alumni the opportunity to get to know Dean Stenport – and for Dean Stenport to learn about how our graduates want to help shape a vision for the Franklin College.

The events began even before she officially started her duties as dean of the college when she attended a recital at Steinway Hall in NYC in March with students and faculty from the Hugh Hodgson School of Music, followed by a meeting in April with Franklin alumni Washington, D.C. Just after the spring semester, she met with alumni in New York City and visited with students from the Lamar Dodd School of Art during their NYC Maymester Program. In June, Dean Stenport traveled to Los Angeles to speak about her vision for the "Future of Franklin" with Franklin alumni in Southern California. Later that month the college hosted an alumni event in Seattle. In early July, Dean Stenport met with alumni in Atlanta.

“It’s been truly inspiring to get to know some of our many amazing alumni and friends of the Franklin College over the past few months," Dean Stenport said. "I am looking forward to more opportunities and welcome everyone to get in touch to share their story and aspirations for the college. Go Franklin!”

Upcoming Meet-and-Mingle events are scheduled for Sept. 28 in New York City and October 11 in Charlotte, NC. Look for information about upcoming opportunities to meet with Dean Stenport in your area. Get to know our new dean, share your thoughts about the college and your UGA experience, and help shape the Future of Franklin.
