To apply for the Green, Grimes and Hines Graduate Scholarships, applicant must provide:
- A completed Graduate Fellowship/Scholarship Application.
- A one-page statement of purpose which includes educational goals and may include financial need.
- A current CV.
- Two letters of recommendation attesting to the applicant’s personal attributes and academic qualifications. These letters are confidential and must be emailed directly to pettik@uga.edu by the recommender. At least one of the letters must be from a UGA faculty member. More information on each Fellowship may be found at the links below.
- Jane Mulkey and Rufus King Green Graduate Fellowship in Arts and Humanities
- Application deadline - October 4, 2024
- Each department may submit one nomination for this fellowship
- Applicants must be nominated by the department's graduate coordinator
- Selection based on individual's character, talent, and academic achievement
- Primary areas covered are Classics, Drama/Theatre, English, History, or Speech Communications
- Preference will be given, but not limited to, students who are graduates in Arts & Sciences from Wesleyan College in Macon, Ga.
- Mary Laraine Young Hines 1968 Graduate Fellowship in Cancer Research
- Application deadline - October 4, 2024
- Must be in good academic standing
- Must work in area of cancer research
- Grimes Family Distinguished Graduate Fellowship in Natural Sciences
- Application deadline - October 4, 2024
- Must be in good academic standing
- Must work in area of cancer research
- Must be a student majoring in a Natural Science degree
- Chelsea Montgomery Machemehl Scholarship
- Application deadline is TBD - Spring 2025, and is processed by the Office of Student Academic Services
- Open to undergraduate and graduate-level students
- Preference will be given to a student who has had leukemia
- Jo Ann Terry Walker Scholarship
- Application deadline is TBD - Spring 2025, and is processed by the Office of Student Academic Services
- Open to undergraduate and graduate-level students
- Students must be majoring in Art, Music, or Drama/Theatre
- Preference will be given to females age 35 and over
