Major Repair and Renovation Requests

Franklin College will be accepting Major Repair and Renovation (MRR) requests that would like to be considered for funding in FY21. MRR requests are projects that are larger than $40,001 but do not exceed $1,000,000. Franklin College prioritizes and submits the requests it receives to the University MRR committee which then reviews them for potential funding in the following fiscal year.

Each MRR request MUST include:

  1. A cover letter describing the project, a thorough justification of why this project is needed, and the purpose for which the renovated space will be used.
  2. A current estimate. An estimate that is older than one year is generally no longer accurate and MUST be updated.
  3. Two completed VPFA forms.

Research Space

For requests that will involve research space, including potential new faculty hires, Carl Bergmann cberg@ccrc.uga.edu, Assistant Vice-President for Research, must be consulted at the earliest stages, prior to obtaining any estimates. See the OVPR Major Repair and Renovation policy.

The deadline for these requests to the College will be November 11, 2019. All requests are to be delivered via campus mail or via e-mail to: Leslie F. Morrow, 300 Old College or lmorrow@uga.edu.
