Spanish is the second-most spoken language in the United States, and about 490 million people around the world are native Spanish speakers. Fluency in Spanish is beneficial for careers of all kinds.
At UGA, Spanish is available as a major and minor, with electives available to students in other disciplines. At the graduate level, students can pursue an MA in Spanish with a specialization in Literature and Culture or Hispanic Linguistics. UGA also offers a PhD in Spanish.
