From stethoscope to microphone, Caleb Camesi brings the Bulldog spirit

During the week, he’s diving deep into biochemistry and molecular biology as a fourth-year student in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences. By Saturday, he’s electrifying Sanford Stadium as the Mic Man — the voice behind the roar, the energy behind the Dawgs.

Whether he's rallying the crowd with Hairy Dawg or tackling complex science, Camesi knows college is about more than textbooks and tests. It’s about showing up, taking chances, and grabbing the mic when life hands it to you.

As a pre-med student with aspirations to become a surgeon, Camesi balances both MCAT prep and game day chants with passion. Though being the Mic Man was never a part of his plans.

“Neither of my parents had the traditional college experience,” Camesi said. “My mom joined the Navy really young and got her degree online later. My dad grew up learning carpentry in Switzerland before joining the Army. So coming into college, I wanted to make sure their hard work didn’t go to waste.”
