UGA Opera Theatre performs Così fan tutte

The Hugh Hodgson School of Music UGA Opera Theatre present their spring opera, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Così fan tutte. The semi-staged concert will take place in Hodgson Hall on Sunday, February 20 at 3pm and Monday, February 21 at 7:30pm.



The opera will be sung in Italian with English Subtitles. It was first performed at the Burgheater in Vienna, on January 26, 1790. Music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Libretto by Lorenzo da Ponte.



UGA Opera Theatre is directed by Frederick Burchinal, the Wyatt and Margaret Anderson Professor in the Arts, with Stage Direction by Daniel Ellis, and Vocal Coaching by Kathryn Wright. The UGA Symphony Orchestra, directed by Mark Cedel, will perform under the baton of Guest Conductor Maestro Hilary Griffiths.



Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 with a UGA ID. Streaming will also be available online at music.uga.edu/live-streaming.
