Women's Leadership Fellows inaugurates next class

The pipeline for campus leaders at UGA continues to grow stronger with the next class of Women's Leadership Fellows announced this week:

The 2016-2017 cohort, which includes representatives from eight schools and colleges as well as the Division of Student Affairs, will attend monthly meetings where they will learn from senior administrators on campus as well as visiting speakers from academia, business and other fields. The program, which was created in 2015 as part of the university's Women's Leadership Initiative, also features a concluding weekend retreat in June for more in-depth learning.

  • Shelley B. Hooks, associate professor in the College of Pharmacy. Hooks is currently serving as interim director of the UGA Center for Drug Discovery, as well as graduate coordinator for the department of pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences
  • Charlotte Mason, the C. Herman and Mary Virginia Terry Chair of Business Administration and head of the marketing department in the Terry College of Business. Mason also is director of the Coca-Cola Center for Marketing Studies
