What’s the connection between social behavior and genes?

 

The research raises many questions but ultimately has provided another clue that may help further research and help people with social disorders such as autism.

"Methylation is a dynamic process, and level of methylation can change over the course of a person's lifetime," he said. "But it may be possible to alter the level of methylation with some type of medication that could help people who have abnormalities in social cognition."

More important research from one of our many departments. Our researchers continue to seek answers to real world problems and present new findings, contributing to the larger amount of knowledge and collaboration that’s inherent in science.
