About Franklin College Student Ambassador Program
The Franklin College Student Ambassadors is a program under the oversight of the college’s Dean's Office. Ambassadors serve at the pleasure of the Dean of the College, assisting with departmental, development, alumni, and student activities to enhance the public and instructional image of the College, its students, and programs. Ambassadors are integral to building a strong and engaged student community.
Eligibility is open to any student in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences enrolled on campus during the entire following academic year, has completed at least one semester of undergraduate work, and has an overall GPA of no less than 3.0 *. Ambassadors should be articulate and effective public speakers. They should present a professional appearance and attitude while serving the College and must be able to fulfill their ambassador responsibilities without jeopardizing their academic standing. Ambassadors are expected to be knowledgeable about the UGA campus and the Franklin College.
*Students with a GPA of less than 3.0 may be considered.
Applications for 2026-2027 will open in the Spring.
The UGA Parents Leadership Council Grant
The Franklin College Student Ambassador Program has been recently awarded a grant from the UGA Parents Leadership Council that will help elevate our program and our program's prominence through leadership training, professional development, and alumni engagement for the betterment of the Ambassadors and all they serve. The UGA Parents Leadership Council is a group of highly engaged parents who provide funds to a variety of projects that make a direct and positive impact on student life at the University of Georgia.
