Former dean of the Franklin College Wiliam Jackson "Jack" Payne founded the Franklin College Chamber Music Series in 1978 as a way to acknowledge music lovers and patrons of the cultural life of both the university and and the community. The Center for Asian Studies will serve as the local host for the 1st Atlanta Korean Film Festival 2012, which begins in Athens on Oct. 6. On Monday Oct. 8, the center will host a discussion with director Kang Je Kyu and actor Park Joong Hoon. The event begins at 6:30 pm in MLC 101. Free and open to the public.
