Welcome to our new Advisory Board members

By:
Alan Flurry

The Franklin College Board of Advisors met in person on campus last week, and the college welcomed four new members to the board. The Franklin College is especially grateful for the support and guidance of our board, and it is a pleasure to welcome these extraordinary alumni and friends of the college to the group. The new members add a broad range of experience and expertise to a dedicated group with a vision for excellence in the arts and sciences.

Wendy Aina of Lilburn, GA ('95AB, English; MED, Educational Administration and Policy '13), Chief Development Officer, Atlanta’s John Marshall School of Law. Wendy is a former Franklin College colleague and we are particularly happy to welcome her back.

Joel Gerber of Savannah, GA ( UGA ’97, AB Criminal Justice; University of Memphis ’01, JD), Real Estate Attorney. Joel enjoys attending sporting events (especially Georgia football games), and traveling with his family.

Kelly Layton of Louis, MO (BFA, Art and Graphic Design, '90), Layton & Associates. A multi-talented alumna who enjoys traveling and is also an active board member of The Woman’s Exchange of St. Louis.

L. D. "Neicy" Wells of Powder Springs, GA (UGA ’96, AB, English; Central Michigan University ’12, MA), Author, Communications Officer, Certified Speaker, Facilitator & Coach.  Neicy is an educator and motivational speaker with over 25 years of experience in leadership and personal development in government, corporate, arts and entertainment sectors. She serves on the boards of the Georgia Professional Human Service Association (GPHSA) and the UGA Black Alumni Affinity Group (Charter Member).

Welcome to these alumni leaders, we are glad you are part of the Franklin College.
