Internship and Career Coordinator for the Humanities

Christine M. Lasek-White is the Internship and Career Coordinator for the Humanities serving the humanities programs in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Georgia, including the departments of Classics, Comparative Literature and Intercultural Studies, English, Germanic & Slavic Studies, History, Linguistics, Philosophy, Religion, and Romance Languages. 

Christine can help both graduate and undergraduate students with: deciding which career to pursue after graduation; creating employment documents including resumes and cover letters; and finding and applying for jobs and internships. She also connects students with other professionalization resources and opportunities available on campus. Email her to set up an appointment.

Christine received her MFA in fiction from the University of South Florida, where she served as the Managing Editor of Saw Palm: Florida Literature and Art.  Prior to that, she worked for 8 years in Detroit as web editor and public relations official for companies in and around Detroit, including WXYZ-TV Channel 7 and Crain's Detroit Business.

Christine's first collection of short stories is Love Letters to Michigan (ELJ Publications 2016). Her fiction and nonfiction have appeared in several literary magazines, including Midwestern GothicThe Sierra Nevada Review, and VIA: Voices in Italian Americana.
