Concert on the Lawn 2017

The fall tradition continues with this year’s Concert On The Lawn presented by the Hugh Hodgson School of Music. The concert—featuring the Hodgson School’s premier wind band, the Hodgson Wind Ensemble, with special guests the UGA Jazz Ensemble—leans into its proximity to Halloween with a theme of “Witches and Wizards.” Pieces from “The Wizard of Oz,” “The Wiz,” “Wicked” and the “Harry Potter” series join Sousa marches and Karl King’s “Invictus” on the program.

The music begins at 12:30 p.m. on the North campus lawn in front of the Chapel. Bring your lunch and a blanket, and some colleagues from the office, and enjoy the beautiful weather with some great band music from the Hodgson School's finest.
