Mary Alston Killen

Strategic Engagement Manager

Mary Alston began work with UGA in 2006 as a student assistant to the Dean of the Franklin Residential College. In 2010, after completing her undergraduate degree the year prior, she was hired by Franklin College as a Development Associate to support the Office of Development and Alumni Relations. She later served as Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship, where she oversaw donor acknowledgment efforts, managed scholarship stewardship and the College's SkySuite, created donor impact reports, managed the college's Dean's Advisory Board, and facilitated fund agreements and naming opportunities.

In 2025, Mary Alston transitioned into the role of Strategic Engagement Manager for the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences. In this position, she leads the planning and execution of a wide range of strategic events and programming, working closely with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and donors. She continues to manage the College’s advisory boards and councils, coordinating meetings, communications, and engagement efforts that support the mission and priorities of the College. 

Mary Alston holds a BFA in Interior Design from The University of Georgia.
