Congratulations to former PhD Student, Marcus Williams of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service, who had the 2nd of his PhD dissertation manuscripts at UGA accepted for publication in the scholarly journal, Photogrammetric Engineering & Remote Sensing Journal. The paper, “Mapping the Spatio-temporal Evolution of Irrigation in the Coastal Plain of Georgia, USA,” used satellite technology to show how center-pivot irrigation has evolved in Georgia over the past several decades
Noel Fallows, Distinguished Research Professor of Spanish in the department of Romance languages and former associate dean of international and multidisciplinary programs in Franklin College, was named associate provost for international education
