Franklin College faculty continue to be widely quoted and featured in the news media. A sample from April:

UGA researcher Vincent Starai, an assistant professor of microbiology, has been awarded a $1.5 million National Institutes of Health grant to study Legionnaires’ disease. 

Research professor Michael Adams' new discovery for using CO2 to make fuel was featured on Physics.org.

Stephen Mihm and Bethany Moreton, associate professors of history, are quoted (and pictured above) in a New York Times article examining an uptick in teaching the history of U.S. capitalism.  Mihm is the author of “A Nation of counterfeiters: Capitalists, Con Men and the Making of the United States," and Moreton is the author of "To Serve God and Walmart: The Making of Christian Free Enterprise."

Research into tool use by bearded capuchin mokeys by psychology professor Dorothy Fragaszy was featured in the Red & Black

Former Franklin College dean Wyatt Anderson was quoted in a USA Today article on a male attractiveness study

Sociology professor David Smilde quoted in a World Politics Review story on the post-Chavez Venezuelan election

The Atlanta Business Chronicle reported on new research by psychology professor Billy Hammond on the health benefits lutein, an organic pigment that gives fruits and vegetables their color.
