THE MANDRAKE

Fine Arts Building Cellar Theatre (Room 55)

Written by Niccolo Machiavelli. Directed by T. Anthony Marotta.

University Theatre Mainstage

The Mandrake is a deliciously wicked comedy by the great Italian political philosopher Machiavelli, whose name is synonymous with political intrigue and manipulation, and the famous credo that "the end justifies the means." It vividly depicts a series of characters who are quick to compromise personal ethics to accommodate a corrupt and demeaning world, and to lie, cheat, swindle, and deceive in an effort to improve their miserable lives. Tickets are $16, $12 for students.

February 18-20 at 8 p.m., February 23-27 at 8 p.m., and February 28 at 2:30 p.m.
