Welcome to the Franklin College Office of Student Academic Services!
Your undergraduate major in the liberal arts and sciences offers a gateway to a multitude of professional paths and opportunities. Our aim is to provide Franklin College students with every means available to help them achieve their academic goals, develop a strong sense of purpose, and recognize and communicate the value of a liberal arts education.
The academic advisors and staff in the Office of Student Academic Services provide support and assistance to Franklin College undergraduates from Orientation to graduation. Advisors in the Office of Academic Advising and in academic departments help students plan their program of study, answer student questions, address academic concerns, provide referrals to people and resources campus-wide, and discuss curricular opportunities and options.
Our Graduation Certification Office will check your degree progress prior to graduation and help guide you through your final semesters at UGA, as well as answer any graduation-related questions you might have. The Office of Transfer Academic Services is committed to supporting transfer students both prior to and after their matriculation at UGA to ensure a smooth and successful transfer experience. Our Retention Advisors provide guidance and support for students overcoming academic challenges. Should you need to appeal an academic requirement or wish to share concerns, the Office of the Director of Student Academic Services can assist you.
We’re excited to have you here and hope your academic experience as a Franklin College major will be an exciting and fulfilling one. If you have any questions about being a Franklin College undergraduate student, please feel free to contact me.
