Honors Interdisciplinary Studies - B.S.

About this Degree

The Honors Interdisciplinary Studies Degree major (HIDS) enables Honors students to create an integrated program out of a coherently defined interdisciplinary combination of courses. These courses must be selected in consultation with a faculty advisor chosen by the student.

HIDS programs are available for AB and BS degrees from the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, and for BSA degrees from the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.

The individual major program, listing a description and/or subjects along with specific courses, must be approved by the Honors Program after it is approved by the student's major professor. Submit the application to the Honors Program before the midpoint of the semester you hope to begin the program. In general, it should be during your second or third year.
