Student Awards

The Dean's Office in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences serves as a clearinghouse for several student awards and honors. Some of these are automatically generated based on a student's academic performance. For example both the Dean's List and Presidential Scholars are determined entirely by grade point average.

Other awards are based on nominations. Requests for nominations are sent to the Dean's Office, which then solicits specific nominations from departments and programs within the College. This web site identifies and defines the various awards that require a departmental and/or college nomination. Please note that the deadlines shift every year. But we have provided prior deadline information to give the departments a sense of the timing of these requests.
