Judy Iakovou holds a B.A. in Speech from the University of Maine and an M.A. in Speech Pathology from the University of Houston.  In 1996, her career took a turn when her first novel, written in collaboration with her husband, was published.  The writing team has published three novels and a novella.  She has taught Creative Writing through UGA Continuing Education and in 2001, began teaching in the English department at UGA.
