The University of Georgia grants its faculty and staff permission to access on-campus devices and networks through the utilization of a VPN (Virtual Private Network). Client Services can assist in the setup and training of how to use this technology to ensure the process runs smoothly when one works from home.

Benefits of Service:

Working on the VPN while off-campus allows the user to remotely access individual or departmental shared drives, or utilize site licensed software installed on state owned equipment. Client Services can facilitate installation of the VPN software on off-campus equipment through guides and training.

Requesting Use and Support:

Franklin College faculty and staff can request support for remote access by contacting the Franklin OIT Helpdesk.

Current Rates for Service:

Franklin OIT’s Remote Access Support Service is available for free to Franklin College departments.
