This includes:

• assistance with site design (organization, interface, structure, etc.)
• development of advanced features and functionality, including special interactivity, animation, sound, and other multimedia
• graphic design or redesign
• photography for web based and printed materials
• videography for interactive displays and web based multimedia
• programming (rich internet applications using FLASH ActionScript, XML, and database driven content)
• consultation about emerging web-based technologies
• training local web support staff
• review of grant applications for technical and instructional soundness

We are available to work on a number of different kinds of projects, including:

• departmental/program web sites
• research/grant project web sites
• specific web pages for which you may want advanced features
• learning objects that fit within the context of a course site (for example, animation or multimedia to demonstrate certain concepts or phenomena)
• interactive displays

Fees

Initial consultations are free, but if we agree to take on a project, the following fee structure will be applied.

Franklin College OIT Web, Programming, and Media Services Fee Structure

Franklin Units (units that have a primary or sole operating budget provided by the College or a College department) Note: Projects that use an abundance of media such as videotaping may incur a media fee to help us recover media costs. Clients may pay the media fee by purchasing the recommended quantity and type of media and delivering the items to OIT Web Services. Alternatively, clients may initiate a budget amendment to reimburse OIT for media consumed.

Web Design and Development Services Supporting Operations, Facilities or Instruction $25/hr

Photography and Video Services $25/hr
