Senior Director of Finance and Administration

Sheila Morgan works for the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, in both the Budget Office and the Dean’s Office.  In her role with the Budget Office, she oversees the Franklin College Budget Office and its processes; serves as financial consultant to the dean and the associate and assistant deans;  prepares financial documents for the annual budget planning meeting with upper administration; manages budget development and ongoing maintenance of the annual budget; oversees accounting of recruitment funds available and position approvals; serves as a liaison between Franklin College and university level budgetary entities; serves as consultant to academic departments on financial and administrative matters; works with unit business managers to develop financial processes; generates financial information to assist units in the College with their budget processes; processes supplemental budget allocations for departments; and details tracking of recruitment funds and positions authorized to be filled. In her role with the Dean’s Office, she serves as a consultant to academic department heads on financial matters involving the College; works closely with office managers and departmental accountants to develop financial processes between departments and the College; develops reports of College level financial information to assist departments in their understanding of the budget processes; and consults in supplemental budget allocations for departments.
