As Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences, I serve as a liaison with departments in the Humanities, the Arts, and the Human Sciences. These include Art, Classics, Comparative Literature, Dance, Drama, English, Germanic and Slavic Studies, History, Linguistics, Music, Philosophy, Religion, and Romance Languages, as well as the programs for Women's Studies and African American Studies.

I also serve as the College liaison with the Faculty Senate and sit on the Senate Curriculum committee and in this role am responsible for receiving and processing course and program proposals from the various units in the College. I oversee a number of other tasks, including promotion and tenure, special professorships (Research, University, Beaver, Meigs), state-of-the-art conference proposals, program reviews, assessment, and the College multicultural requirement. Finally, I oversee the College budgets for OS&E (operating, supplies, and expenses) and for equipment.
