The Franklin College of Arts and Sciences consists of four schools, twenty-six departments, and some thirty-odd centers and programs. My duties as Dean involve all aspects of operations for these many units.

These responsibilities include:

• Overall responsibility for administration of the College
• Program development for departments and schools in the College
• Planning and analysis of College operations
• Budget development
• Faculty recruitment
• Liaison with department heads, school directors, and College staff
• Representing the College to the University administration
• Fundraising and alumni relations
