The Franklin College Board of Advisors were on campus for their Spring Meeting on Friday, April 29 at the Tate Student Center.  This distinguished group of supporters represents a variety of expertise and accomplishments across the spectrum of American business and industry, joined together by their commitment to the Franklin College and the University of Georgia. Dr. Chanita Hughes-Halbert will deliver the keynote address for the Race and Health Disparities Forum on Friday, April 8 at 1:20 pm in 348 MLC. Her talk, Precision Medicine and Disparities: Using Behavioral Science to Enhance Equity, will be followed by a panel discussion of interdisciplinary scholars who study health disparities, and a networking reception at 3pm in the MLC North Tower.  The event is presented by the Center for Research & Engagement in Diversity, a program of the Franklin College.

Catherine "Cali" Callaway and Morrison Nolan have received 2016 Barry M. Goldwater Scholarships, a premier academic award for undergraduate students pursuing careers in science, mathematics and engineering:
