Founding Partner of Chester Jennings & Smith LeRoya Chester Jennings of Atlanta (B.S., psychology, '01) is among the University of Georgia Alumni Association 40 Under 40 Class of 2017:

a former prosecutor who has worked in various prosecuting agencies - the City of Atlanta, the Fulton County District Attorney's Office, the Coweta County Solicitor's Office and the DeKalb County Solicitor's Office.

Excellence in television, radio and digital media was recognized at the 76th Annual Peabody Awards ceremony on May 20 in New York, hosted by Rashida Jones. Attendant events provide a great opportunity for Franklin College faculty and dean's staff to celebrate UGA with friends and alumni of the college. More images here. UGA added two new Udall Scholars to its ranks this year as third-year students Shreya Ganeshan and Elizabeth Wilkes were honored for their leadership, public service and commitment to issues related to the environment.

Each year, the Udall Foundation awards about 60 scholarships to college sophomores and juniors for their efforts related to Native American nations or their work in environmental advocacy and policy.

Congratulations to associate professor of genetics Kelly Dyer, one of three UGA faculty to receive Russell Teaching Awards, the university's highest early career teaching honor:
