The Lamar Dodd School of Art will host to a reunion of the UGA-Cortonese as students and faculty gather to celebrate the 44th anniversary of UGA's premier Studies Abroad Program.

The program has grown and changed a great deal over the course of its four-decade existence, though so much about the immersive small town experience remains the same. The exhibit opens Nov. 15 on America Recycles Day in the school of art with a reception from 7-9 p.m. and...

Art exhibition presents Georgia History up close

Visitors to Saturday’s opening reception for the ATHICA and Georgia Virtual History Project exhibit “Seen/Unseen” were treated to a display of digital local history projects by UGA and Athens Academy students, as well as artworks and archival pieces by local artists and residents.

Many of the pieces were of particular importance to the documentation of the local Athens community’s oft-overlooked enslaved African Americans and African American history in Athens.
